Stanford Klezmer Band
The Stanford Klezmer Band was formed in 2008, and immediately brought together a contingent of undergrads and grads eager to explore the sounds of Ashkenaz. In just over two years, they have made their presence known in the Stanford community and beyond, performing traditional Eastern European Jewish folk dance music at venues including Hillel, the CoHo, the Treehouse, the Palo Alto Farmers' Market, and Zambaleta in San Francisco. They meet for rehearsals weekly and perform several times per quarter.
